The highly-anticipated premiere of Afrobeat queen Tiwa Savage's debut film, "Water & Garri," was a star-studded spectacle held in Lagos, Nigeria. After captivating audiences in London and New York, Tiwa and the cast returned home to celebrate their cinematic creation.

Tiwa looked radiant in a flowing white gown, and her beaming son, Jamil, made a special appearance on the red carpet alongside her. The night glittered with an array of glamorous celebrity guests, including fashion icons Osas Ighodaro and Toke Makinwa, alongside industry heavyweights like Darey Art-Alade and Hilda Baci. The event was hosted by the talented comedian Kiekie, while DJ Dorcas Shola Dapson kept the energy high with a dazzling set.

The film,penned by Comfort Emmanuel, boasts a stellar cast featuring Tiwa Savage alongside Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting,and Jemima Osunde. The Lagos premiere of "Water & Garri" was a night not just for celebrating Tiwa Savage's film debut, but also a showcase of dazzling red carpet fashion. Here's a breakdown of the iconic looks rocked by some of the leading ladies.

Tiwa Savage 

Tiwa Savage, the queen of Afrobeats, stole the show not only with her film debut in "Water & Garri" but also with her breathtaking ensemble at the Lagos premiere. She embodied elegance and grace in a flowing white gown that commanded attention. The dress by Valdrin Sahiti was nothing short of glamorous, the musician and actress paired the look with a drop-dead fringe hairstyle look and a befitting luxurious necklace.

Jemima Osunde
Jemima Osunde, known for her fast-rising roles in Nollywood cinema, brought a breath of fresh air to the "Water & Garri'' Lagos premiere red carpet. Opting for a bold and beautiful look, she donned a striking corset top and sleek pants  that stole the spotlight. Styled by The Style Pundit, Osunde’s ray of golden shine radiated across all boards, she also rocked an elegant, messy hair-do that we’re calling sublime. 

Toke Makinwa

Known for her bold choices, Toke turned heads in custom Weiz Dhurm Franklyn. The entertainment sensation rocked quite a unique color ensemble with a perfect black silhouette and a peach hue elegant flowy-cape-like coat. The star embraced a classic silhouette with a daring twist, and it's to die for. 

Osas Ighodaro

Always a style chameleon, Osas ate her look once again, the actress stunned in a sultry golden ensemble that took playful, edgy, and sophisticated up a notch.  She rocked the matching set of a silky  crop top and a skirt featuring a mid-thigh high slit. The crop top won with a powerful presence, and the intricate floral design gave it the whimsical feel it needed.

Hilda Baci
Epitomizing elegance, Hilda likely left a lasting impression in a red dress which featured a glitzy plunging neckline. The Guinness World Record breaking chef kept it chic and elegant in her long flowing red dress, its dramatic sleeves and striking neckline. Her soft makeup look and sleep hairstyle matched the dress perfectly, serving elegance and style all in one.

Kiekie’s delightful energy and great fashion sense never seems to disappoint. The digital creator stole the show with a pink, elegant ensemble that can only be described as fun, stylish and glamorous. She opted for a timeless silhouette with a touch of personality, and all we can say is, she nailed the look effortlessly.
