Chidinma Adetshina Miss Universe Nigeria

In a thrilling finale, Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, a 23-year-old with roots spanning South Africa, Nigeria, and Mozambique, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. Raised in South Africa by a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, Adetshina’s victory marks a significant moment in Nigerian pageantry.

Chidimma Adetshina clinched the Miss Universe Nigeria title after a dynamic and competitive pageant. The event showcased an array of beauty, elegance, and intelligence, capturing the essence of Nigerian grace and poise. The pageant culminated in a grand display of evening gowns, where the top five finalists were revealed: Miss Taraba Chidimma Adetshina, Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu, Miss Edo Edeifo Brittany, Miss Ondo Ayegbidun Peace Olamide, and Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas.

The final announcements highlighted Miss Ondo as Miss Lush, with Miss Anambra securing the position of first runner-up and Miss Supranational. Adetshina was celebrated as the overall winner, showcasing her exceptional charisma and grace.

Adetshina's journey to the crown was marked by notable challenges. She initially competed as Miss Taraba after stepping away from the Miss South Africa pageant due to online backlash and allegations of fraud from the South African Home Office. Following her withdrawal, the Miss Universe organizers invited her to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, an opportunity she embraced.

Upon winning, Chidimma Adetshina remarked, "This crown symbolizes more than just beauty; it represents a call for unity." She will now represent Nigeria at the upcoming Miss Universe competition, carrying forward her vision of empowerment and solidarity.
