There’s nothing like a good TV show to take your mind off the stress of surviving the real world, a little bit of escapism once in a while never hurt anyone, and it’s just our luck that TV shows of 2024 (so far, so good) are flowing like fine wine. Networks and streamers are on a roll, and we’re loving the roll out so far. It's been one great TV show after another and dare I say it, great TV shows might be having a solid comeback.

So far this year, we’ve had new seasons of beloved shows such as Bridgerton, Emily In Paris, and then there’s the emergence of new shows such as Shogun, 3 Body Problem, the list goes on. Without a shadow of a doubt, this has been a good year for the world of TV, and we’re lowkey here for it. The best problem to have is having a full roster of new shows to binge watch till your eyes fall off, and with our thoughtfully curated list of 2024 TV shows you should watch right now, there’s no way you’re running out of options anytime soon.

Nobody Wants This (Netflix)

Rom Coms are totally making a comeback and Nobody Wants This is leading the revival of dreamy, swoon worthy romcoms of 2024. If you’re a die-hard fan of all things romance, love, quirk, and light hearted comedy, you’re in for a treat with this one. Nobody Wants This is a sweet Netflix rom-com series which follows Joanne (Kristen Bell) a free spirited podcaster and Noah (Adam Brody) a cool rabbi, they fall in love and deliver TV’s most epic kiss yet, but it’s the in betweens that will really keep you going. The entire ensemble and dynamic storyline is reverent of 2000 rom-coms nostalgia, also the story is infused with the jewish way of life as well as some quirky sibling dynamic delivered by Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons, who play Joanne and Noah’s ‘loser siblings’  respectively.

Industry (HBO)

If you haven't already been hit with these crazy Industry edits on your timeline, you’re in for a real treat with this one. Industry takes you on a journey to the world of finance and the chaotic lives of young London college grads who are trying to make it in a cut throat industry. The show has everything, from compelling characters, to chaotic storylines. It is truly messy in the best ways possible, and with a lead cast which includes Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, and Ken Leung, there’s no shortage of drama at Pierpoint.

If you’re a fan of Greek mythology, there’s a high chance you’ll love Kaos. This Netflix series takes the reimagination of some of the best Greek mythologies and gods to a whole new level. If you're a fan of Greek mythology, Kaos is the show you never knew you needed. This fresh Netflix series reimagines some of the most iconic Greek myths, breathing new life into the gods and their stories. But this isn’t your typical mythology lesson—Kaos brings dark humor, drama, and modern twists to age-old tales. The show promises a unique exploration of power, destiny, and the human condition as told through larger-than-life deities like Zeus, Hades, and Hera. If you loved American Gods or The Sandman, there’s a high chance you’ll love Kaos.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel, The Perfect Couple is a gripping whodunit that keeps viewers on their toes. Set against the backdrop of an idyllic Nantucket wedding, things take a dark turn when a body is found just hours before the ceremony. What unfolds is a web of lies, deceit, and buried secrets. With a stellar cast and sharp storytelling, this show is perfect for anyone who loves a good mystery. The icing on the cake is the opening credits/theme song that will have you dancing in between trying to figure out who the murderer is, then there’s the astounding performances of the entire cast which includes Nicole Kidman, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy, Liev Schreiber, Ishaan Khatter, Michael Beach, just to name a few.

My Lady Jane (Prime Video)

Looking for a bit of historical escapism with a dash of humor? My Lady Jane is a fantastical retelling of the life of Lady Jane Grey, who famously ruled England for nine days. But this isn’t your average period drama—there’s a whole reimagination going on, there’s magic, talking animals, and plenty of witty humor. Think The Princess Bride meets The Favorite, with enough twists to keep you laughing and guessing. Emily Bader and Edward Bluemel take swoon worthy romance and chemistry to another level in this series, which is why it's particularly heartbreaking that My Lady Jane wouldn’t be renewed for a second season.
