Whether you're in the mood for love triangles or plain family drama and teenage angst, you're in the right place. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to these teen drama picks; 2026 has a lot to offer in the teen drama department. These shows will have you swooning; they will have your heart melting, and most importantly, they will leave you on the edge of your seat, wanting more.
Some of these TV shows are reminiscent of what we all loved about 2000s TV; think Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and the like. If you love that swoony vibe, these teen TV drama recommendations are a real treat.
Sterling Point

If you're looking for a great TV show to watch, and I mean absolutely perfect with all the tropes and all the feels, then Sterling Point is the one you want. Sterling Point has restored all hope lost when it comes to the state of film and TV in this day and age. It is the kind of show that has you rooting for every single character, and has you swooning and drowning in romance. The show follows Annie (Ella Rubin), a seventeen-year-old overachiever who was raised in New York City with her twin brother, Connor (Keen Ruffalo), and their adoptive father. But what's a teen drama without a very complicated familial plot twist? In this case, Annie's life changes when she inherits an island in Canada from her estranged grandfather.
Annie does what any rich New York kid would do: she lies to her father and jets away to Canada to see this Island she's seemingly inherited. It is her way of connecting to the missing piece of her life, her late adoptive mother. Things take another turn when she finds out she has more family secrets to uncover than she could have possibly even imagined.
Sterling Point has everything you could want in a good teen drama. There's the swoon-worthy love triangle that will either leave you rooting for team Rory (Daniel Quinn-Toye) or team Ellis (Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie). Whatever team you find yourself in this love triangle, just know you will be well fed throughout. Without spoiling too much, you should know that Sterling Point has it all, from a great plotline to rewindable steamy scenes, the most likable characters, and more family drama than you know what to do with.
Off Campus

Off Campus is a love letter to all the book lovers out there. If you loved The Off Campus book series, then you've probably already binged Off Campus again and again. However, if you're new to the game, you're welcome, and I bet you won't want to leave. Ever since Off Campus premiered on Prime Video, it's been one treat after another. The series will fill every romance hole in your heart as it follows the lives of college ice hockey players. I know what you're thinking: this isn't exactly a teen drama, but just go with it.
Based on The Deal by Canadian author Elle Kennedy, Off Campus Season 1 follows Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), a music student, and Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), the university's star hockey player, as they navigate the juiciest deal of the century: fake dating. Hannah needs to get the attention of the boy she has a massive crush on, and Garrett? Well, Garrett needs a tutor, and Hannah is the perfect girl. So what happens when these two make a deal to both get what they want? It isn't exactly rocket science, but you'll have to binge-watch Off Campus to find out. It has all that you've been craving; there's romance, friendships, hockey, and a killer soundtrack.
Crew Girl

Crew Girl is a Netflix series set in the world of high school rowing, and what's better than a high school teen drama? A high school teen sports drama. Crew Girl follows Teegan Tao (Miku Martineau), a girl who has it all: her promising future as a rower and her family. However, it all takes a turn when a family scandal takes it all away, and now she's forced to relocate to the East Coast with her mother while her father is MIA. Teegan begins her new life at Easton Prep, and she's hopeful to continue her life where she left off. The only problem is, Easton Prep does not have a rowing team for girls, so now, not only is she the newcomer, but she's also the new coxswain for a varsity crew full of boys that want nothing to do with her.
Like all good teen TV dramas, there is a sizzling amount of family drama to be found here, and most importantly, there's the romance of it all. Teegan has to make an entire team trust her in order for the crew to win, and in between all of that, she finds herself caught between two boys on the team. There's the school's golden boy, Josh Regis (Sam Braun), and then the resident good guy, Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark). Between these two boys, there's enough romance to go around, and then there's a whole boat of lovable characters and their personal lives that will have you tuned in.
A Different World

A Different World doesn't exactly fall into the Teen TV drama department, but let's just go with the flow here because it's too good not to make the list. Hillman College isn't exactly new; if you're really into hit TV shows, you might remember a certain 1987 classic from which Season 1 of A Different World is drawn. This show basically follows Deborah Wayne (Maleah Joi Moon) as she begins her freshman year at Hillman College, her parents' HBCU alma mater. Now she must juggle school life, friendship, and family drama, as well as her romantic life, all while trying to escape from the shadow of her very iconic parents from the original series, Whitley Gilbert (Jasmine Guy) and Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison).
Every Year After

Every Year After is yet another teen romance drama made for the book lovers. If you love the vibe of The Summer I Turned Pretty, then you might just love Every Year After. The show follows a story that highlights first love, so it follows Percy (Sadie Soverall) and Sam's (Matt Cornett) relationship spanning over a decade. The show starts off with Percy returning to Barry Bay, a place that holds most of her teenage memories with Sam, except now, she's a young adult who has cut all ties with the town she once loved and the boy she once loved.
Now, you might be wondering where the likeness to The Summer I Turned Pretty comes into play. Well, Percy cut all ties to the town because of a secret she's carried all these years, and now that she's back to town, not only does she have to face her first love, but she also has to face his older brother, Charlie (Michael Bradway). To paint the picture more clearly, there are two brothers, one girl, a lake house, and a dead mother.
Elle

Calling all Legally Blonde fans out there, Elle Woods is back again, except this time, she's not the college girl we all fell in love with. This time, she's a teenage girl growing up in the nineties, six years before the events of the first Elle Woods film. This time, we're following her journey in high school. Elle (Lexi Minetree) has her life uprooted after a family scandal sends her into exile in Seattle. This is before she became the star Harvard law student in the films, so expect a rollercoaster of emotions as you watch what seems to be the origin story of Elle Woods.
Elle Season 1 truly captured the heart of Legally Blonde in all the right ways, and teen Elle Woods is just as charming, pink, and relentlessly optimistic. After Elle is uprooted from her chic life in LA, she has to find a way to adapt to the rainy Seattle weather and the kids in her new school. What's a teen drama without a little love triangle drama? Elle doesn't lack in this department; she has Dustin (Zac Looker) and Miles (Jacob Moskovitz) to choose from. Every day at her new school presents a new challenge, but nothing the great Elle Woods can't solve. There are love triangles and teenage dramas enough to last you while you binge the entire show.
