The Smart Money Woman based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Arese Ugwu stole our hearts with its first season. The Smart Money Woman season 1 was released on Netflix with 7 episodes on 16 September 2021. Now, exactly 3 years later, the trailer for the highly anticipated second season has finally been released.

The Series follows a group of stylish friends as they navigate their love lives and financial lives. The main character, Zuri (Osas Ighodaro) is a successful woman with a bit of a spending problem, and the series takes us on a journey on her path to better financial management. Along with her stylish, and sometimes dramatic best friends, the unending chaos of their lives in Lagos is worth watching. Here’s everything we know about The Smart Money Woman season 2.

The Cast of The Smart Money Woman Season 2

The second season of The Smart Money Woman brings back our favorite characters and their respective stars. The first season followed the characters of Zuri (Osas Ighodaro), Ladun (Eby Eno), Tami (Ini Dima-Okojie), Adesuwa (Kemi Lala Akindoju), and Lara (Toni Tones). It is safe to say that our favorite girl boss gang will be making an epic comeback to our screens as their beloved characters. 

Season two also stars other fan-favorite stars such as Timini Egbuson, Eso Dike, Seun Ajayi, Eku Edewor, Tobi Bakre, Tania Omotayo, Bolanle Olukanni, Enyinna Nwigwe, Jesse Suntele, Oshuwa Tunde Imoyo, Bobby Ekpe, and Femi Branch. To top it all off, the second season also introduces some new cast members to the smart money tribe, be prepared to see stars like Nicole Ikot, Shamz Garuba, Adunolaoluwa Osilowo, and Oladozie Olawaiye. 

What Will The Smart Money Woman Season 2 Be About? 

The Smart Money Woman Season 2 promises to dive deeper into the lives of our favorite characters. For one, Zuri’s journey to financial discipline continues, but the tricky part is her quest to stay on track and face challenges in doing so. The second season also dives deep into the personal lives of the entire friend group. Adesuwa grapples with the complexities of a contentious divorce and the difficulties of co-parenting with her unreliable ex, Soji. Tami is stuck between a rock and a hard place as she balances her work life and love life. Then there's Lara, whose work life and family life are unraveling before her eyes, as she deals with the pressures of it all.
