Exhibit A, Mavin Records announced the signing of a new artist known as Lifestyle Teddy, following their latest announcement and the little snippet of musical magic they dropped, one thing is for sure, Lifesize Teddy is a rapper, artist, and writer that everyone didn’t see coming.

Here’s everything we know about Mavin Records new signee, the new Mavin is uber talented and an influential fashionista in the making. Lifestyle Teddy, or should we say, Treasure Apiafi Banigo is as talented as she is unconventional, expect the unexpected with her brand of afro fusion music. Her debut EP, ‘Lifesize Teddy’ is a testament to her talent, creativity, and most importantly, her range. 

Here are a few things we know about the Mavin Records’ latest addition.

Lifesize Teddy is a lyrical genius, but she’s also a poet, you could easily say her talents go hand in hand, but if you know anything about poetry, you’d know that it’s a whole world of its own and a poet by heart is what Lifestyle Teddy is. This just goes to show that her art and music will bleed poetry in every way.

Lifesize Teddy has her boldness going for her, that’s for sure. From her music, you can tell that she’s not afraid to go the extra mile to experiment and reach the highest limits. Her sound is a mix of afro and rap, it is something new, fresh, and exciting. We cannot wait to witness the progression of her unique blend of sounds as time goes by.

Lifesize Teddy grew up in her scenic hometown of Bonny Island, Rivers State, she also grew up in Port-Harcourt, so she’s no stranger to mixing things up, whether that’s culturally, musically, or genre wise. 

Lifesize Teddy’s Mavin Records Journey 

Allegedly, Lifesize Teddy’s journey with Mavin Records didn’t start today, she’s been on it for quite a while. As stated by OkayAfrica, Lifesize Teddy officially began her Mavin Records journey in 2020 when she enrolled in the label’s artist development academy. Her artistry isn’t just linked to her immense talent, it is also a credit to her dedication during the three-year intensive coaching and practice. 

Her self-titled debut EP hits the mark in every single way, from the vocals to the visuals, she effortlessly goes across the board, whether that’s in her rapping, writing, and poetry. The same thing could be said about her wide range of genres that goes from hip-hop to Afro-pop, and a variety of alternative sounds.

Introducing the Rapper/Singer extraordinaire on Twitter (X), Founder and CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy commented, “Unveiling a new artist is a reminder of how an artist have let themselves go through the laid down process of the Mavin Academy, the testament of our faith in them and the coming together of our hard work.” With that, all we can say is, Lifesize Teddy is set to be the Mavin Records gift that will keep on giving, and like we said earlier, we’re here for all of it.
