Indulge Yourself In Small Talk Today

Small talk can be dreadful most of the time, but it is a pathway to meaningful friendship. The trick is to start off a conversation, no matter how small with a stranger or someone you’re barely acquainted with. This could be at a random event, or while you’re on a queue, whatever the case may be, this is the perfect intro to making new friends.

Take It A Step Further With Exchanging Contact Info

After all the small talk is over, the last thing you want to do is to leave the conversation on its deathbed and move on. This is the perfect opportunity to exchange contacts and continue the chat even further. Think of starting friendships the same way you’d probably start a relationship, if you see a lady or man you like, you exchange numbers at the very least after you ask politely, the same thing applies to friendships.

Use Your Social Media Platform

Social media can be daunting for some, but you just need to take the bull by its horns, and it could be one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to make new friends. Just as long as you’re safe about it, and weary of crazy-types. Use ice breaker methods such as posting questions people can engage with, or suggest a fun activity you’d like to try out. You never know, you might just find someone with similar interests, but the key here is to put yourself out there and show people who you are and what you love.

Go To More Events

Quit dodging events organized close to you, this might be the perfect opportunity to find people who are right up your alley. Once you indulge yourself in the occasional events organized in your city or vicinity, it’s pretty easy to meet new people. Going to the event is just one step, so remember what we said about small talk? Yup, this is what you need to actually take the plunge.

Hanging Out With Old Friends Could Lead To New Mutual Friends

There’s certain people in your life that you could consider true friends, and if you’re in need of some new friends, mutuals are the perfect way to go. Their friends can surely be your friends too, after all, that’s one of the most popular ways to make new friends these days. Don’t be scared to go on social outings with your old friends, this could also be the perfect avenue to connect with new people you’re sure to get along with.

Treat Your Old Friends Right

Sometimes it’s easy to lose track of the people who really matter, especially when your mind is set on a new vibe and all of that. Just remember how essential it is to make time for the people you have in your life now, no matter how small the number is. It’s okay to want new friends, but the question is, are you prioritizing the friends you have now?
