Move over Nollywood, because Tiwa Savage, the queen of Nigerian music, is stepping into the spotlight of Tinseltown with her debut film as a lead actress in, 'Water And Garri'! As we all know, this isn't her first acting rodeo, but it is her first time as the lead and executive producer to match.
“Water and Garri,” starring superstar singer/songwriter Tiwa Savage will launch on Prime Video; it is set to premiere in a lot of countries worldwide this year. The premise of the film revolves around Aisha played by Tiwa Savage, who is an ambitious fashion designer making her way back to Nigeria after being in the United States for Ten years.
The entire reason she’s returning is because of a loss in the family, but there’s a lot more that has changed at home, there’s a lot of tension, a lot of drama, and she’s right in the middle of it all. Of course there will be the family/friend relationships dynamic explored, and our favorite, past love.
